With so many beaches and a bit of an effort to get to the beach while visiting Florida, I often get asked for beach recommendations from people visiting the state or even people who have lived here a while, so I wanted to compile my recommendations all in one place. First up: the Gulf Coast
National Parks: Gateway Arch
At a mere 66 acres, Gateway Arch National Park is the smallest National Park in the Service, and can easily be fully explored in half a day. Unlike other Parks that are difficult to get to and sometimes even harder to explore, Gateway Arch is an ideal stop by families making their way across the country on a road trip, and is even well worth it to slightly alter plans to include the visit to St. Louis for.
National Parks: Saguaro
Easy desert hikes, massive cacti, stunning views, and just the right amount of danger – the Western portion of Saguaro National Park is ideal for people short on time or families with young children.
National Parks: Sequoia
Now the very word Sequoia conjures up might within my mind. I picture mountains that actually feel small due the massive giants that live upon their slopes. All sorts of thoughts of regal kings and ancient warriors who will never give up ground and never let you forget whose realm you are in.
